Measure one way

Enter the distance from power source to equipment. The engine doubles it for the outgoing and return path.

Drop is not ampacity

A cable can meet a voltage-drop target and still be wrong for the circuit, connector, environment or cord type.

Use nominal voltage

Choose the actual nameplate and venue system: 120 V, 208 V or 240 V. “220” is too ambiguous for planning.
